Program Manager

The Program Manager plays a central role in the effective planning and execution of House of Songs programs and initiatives (P2Ps, Residencies, Camps, Showcases, etc.). Responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the organization's mission, the Program Manager collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and volunteers. Their duties involve coordinating events, working closely with artists, developing program schedules, managing resources, and overseeing day-to-day operations in the Bentonville, AR location. This role also includes tracking program outcomes, assessing effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvements. Additionally, the Program Manager may engage in community outreach, fundraising efforts, and cultivating relationships with stakeholders to support and expand program initiatives. Their versatile responsibilities require a blend of organizational skills, communication abilities, and a passion for the nonprofit's mission to drive positive social impact.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and implement various programs and initiatives in line with the nonprofit's mission (P2Ps, Residencies, Camps, Showcases, etc.).

  • Serve as "sherpa" when THOS guests arrive in Bentonville, AR, for THOS programming.
    Provide groceries and "things to do" resources for guests

  • Coordinate co-writing sessions and assist with artist pairings
    Communicate with venues/vendors about our needs for showcases, sound, run of show, etc.
    Run showcase events at the house; responsible for coordination of sound, food, registration and reporting.

  • Assist with Vehicle for Change program support.

  • Develop and manage program schedules to meet organizational objectives and timelines.
    Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources for program implementation.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities, track program outcomes, assess effectiveness, make recommendations for improvements (programming and location), and communicate results to stakeholders.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support and expand program initiatives.
    Advocate for the nonprofit's mission and programs within the community.

  • Engage in community outreach efforts on occasion to raise awareness and funds for program initiatives.

  • Remain adaptable to changes and evolving needs within the nonprofit's mission and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with musicians and/or event production

  • Organized thought and process

  • An eye for detail and improvement

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to share the heart of THOS with its partners

  • Forethought to assess opportunities and risks

  • An ear for compatible artists

  • A high standard for pulling off excellent events.
