Founder & Musician
Inspired by his experiences collaborating with Danish singer-songwriter Poul Krebs, Troy Campbell founded The House of Songs in 2009 as a one-year project to bring Danish artists to Austin. Since then, Troy's efforts have earned him numerous awards, including the Folk Alliance International Spirit of Folk Award in 2016.
With over 25 years in the entertainment industry, Troy has helped grow a range of brands and artists, including his own band, Loose Diamonds, which made the New York Times' annual top 10 list in the 1990s. As founder of The House of Songs and Collection Agency Films, he has also partnered with a range of organizations, from the City of Austin International Economic Department to Danish and Swedish music export societies. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard, USA Today, and the New York Times.
